About
Cheryl Hill grew up near Portland, Oregon. She had always enjoyed taking snapshots at summer camp and on family vacations, but it wasn’t until she moved to British Columbia in 2004 that she started exploring nature photography. Armed with a new point-and-shoot digital camera, she took well over 10,000 pictures during her two years in Vancouver.
After moving back to Portland, Cheryl took a short photography class and bought her first DSLR. Her photographs capture the beauty of the outdoors, covering everything from mountain landscapes to vivid autumn colors, colorful wildflowers to urban nature. She spends many hours roaming along mountain hiking trails and urban nature trails, logging hundreds of miles on her hiking boots each year. She currently works as a librarian in West Linn, Oregon.
